Facilitation

Christopher Mankowski has taught in both artistic and transformational contexts in North American, South America and Europe. His facilitation is always a creative and ritual act, attuned to both the reverent and the taboo. He draws from an inter-pollination of creative and embodied practices including Butoh, Noguchi Taiso, CI, Physical Theatre (Jerzy Grotowski), and always somehow, poetry. These are fed and informed by fields of flowers, and a depth of study and practice of somatic and depth psychologies, transformative learning, and non-duality with roots in Kashmiri Shaivism and Zen Buddhism. He has been a meditation and embodiment practitioner for 20 years.

I am committed to...

Offering clear invitations, present and enthusiastic guidance, and permission and encouragement to explore the edges of your experience. In so doing I strive to create an environment both welcoming and freeing, rigorous and healing, where everyone, individually and as a group, has the opportunity to lean into and cultivate their capacities for fierceness and vulnerability–interpersonally, spiritually, and artistically.

I am interested in...

Working with you if you are interested in cultivating courage, authenticity and presence in your work, your communities and your life. I am interested in working with artists, facilitators, organizers, leaders and humans who want to step into power and responsibility to create a more just and equitable world, where living a full, profound and creative life is based on having power with rather than over others. I am interested in working with those who believe that personal liberation is not possible without collective liberation and those who are interested in challenging and transforming belief systems based on apathy, entitlement, fear and domination. I am interested in working with those who seek embracing multiplicity, difference and otherness, as a necessity to more fully show up and grow up as a culture and a species. I am interested in working with those who want to cultivate reverence and intimacy with the ecology of the earth and the many beings, seen and unseen, which inhabit it.
